The M18 Hellcat was the fastest tracked vehicle of all World War II: 89 km/h on road, enough to flank and destroy Panthers and Tigers before they could turn their turrets. This model reproduces the ETO (European Theater of Operations) version from 1944-45, with the 76 mm M1 cannon and the .50 cal machine gun in the open turret.
The name "Dorothy" is hand-painted on the hull armor exactly as documented in period photographs, along with the unit number and white recognition star. The European soil weathering (Norman mud, road dust) was worked with Mig pigments and oils.
